The behind the back shot is one of the craziest and most exciting to watch shots in table tennis. Once a rarity now it seems like many players can do it.
Why not, it comes in handy when you are in the wrong position to hit the return and if you do not hit it, it will be a lost point anyway. Not a high percentage shot but usually, if executed correctly results in a winning point. Seems like it would be extremely hard to practice.
